PLASTIC

My theme is “Sustainable fashion” which is to give clothes a new life. . I decided to use all cycle materials to make clothes and accessories. The main material is plastic because I found that it can make a lot of fun things for me. I made a bucket hat and bra. In addition, I use an old bag to recreate a small handbag, top, and dress. The main idea is that fashion is not just clothing. It is about art as well. It doesn’t have to be wearable. It can be artwork. Art is about a connection. It connects us and helps us to express ourselves. My collection is telling people that plastic waste gets collected and then compressed and placed into bales before transportation to the factory that processes plastic waste.

The plastic waste picture is reminding people, that this is our waste. Wasting a lot of plastic. We could have recycled it and saved the ocean. The last picture that I show is because I see two different perspectives in this picture. You see the sky and the sea are so beautiful. Meanwhile, the ground is full of trash. I did all of the research from the previous project. However, you wouldn’t feel the way the author feels about the ocean. You have to really experience it and go there to see what it actually looks like in the environment of the ocean. from then you would realize this is so real and know where the problem is. And for you to wake up to start educating yourself on how we protect the ocean, because a little habit can change the whole world.
